I’m Maxine, founder of Lost and Foundry, a lighting artist and creator based in sunny Brighton. I work with stylists and interior designers to create custom lighting, and I restore vintage and retro pieces for antique dealers — breathing new life into forgotten objects.
I’m drawn to the world-weary and overlooked. Each salvaged fragment, each timeworn surface, carries a quiet history. Through careful restoration and thoughtful reinvention, I transform these treasures into lighting that charms, intrigues, and sparks conversation.
Every piece I make is entirely unique. I don’t believe in mass production — I believe in character, in craftsmanship, and in celebrating the individuality of materials and people alike.
As the owner and creative force behind Stanley Road Store, this is now the sole home of my work — a space where Lost and Foundry lives and evolves.
