We are about to celebrate 4 years at our
beloved Stanley Road store on Market Street.
To celebrate this we are going to be having four different events or competitions and the first one is where we ask people to create a 15 to 30 second reel based around Stanley Road store. It can be absolutely any type of reel that you would like, featuring Stanley Road store.
We were going to have categories but we're just going to choose the top four and each person that wins is going to get a £50 voucher for our store.

MEET THE MAKER

Scarlett Sky

Hi, I'm Carin, the leather worker behind Scarlett Sky.Making has always been part of who I am. Growing up, my Mum made beautiful clothes for my sisters and me. Being surrounded by creativity sparked a lifelong fascination for making which never really left me.After studying fashion, I spent many years working as a stylist, designing clothes and creating looks in the music and fashion industries but it wasn't until I discovered upholstery and leatherwork that everything really clicked.I started making bags simply because I struggled to find a quality leather bag I liked. I loved the process of turning a beautiful piece of leather into something useful that would be carried every day. Before long, friends began asking for bags of their own and Scarlett Sky gradually grew from there.I'm drawn to simple, thoughtful design and believe that the things we use every day should be both practical and beautiful. My work is all about simplicity, longevity and creating pieces that wear in, not out.

A superb, well-curated, irresistible collection of miscellaneous items across different categories. There was something for everyone here. I’d give more than five stars if Google allowed me to do so.I walked in by chance, got hooked on a collection of quirky shirts made by one of the staff there. After the purchase, brought a friend the next day and ended up buying many more items. Picked up some old 7” records in great condition, an awesome vintage kimono jacket handpicked from Japan, a funky framed artwork, etc. My friend found a cute sweat shirt and an awesome vintage leather jacket sourced from Berlin. Good thing we left after two hours or so because otherwise we would have blown through our travel budget way too soon…Everyone who works here seemed to be creatives and had their own unique products on display. Cannot say enough good things about the staff and the store.Oh, did I mention the incredibly generous pricing? Will definitely come back next time I am back in Brighton.Thank you, Max & team!
